IEM HACKS 2.0, the monumental 36-hour online web development hackathon, is here to ignite your imagination and catapult you into a whirlwind of the web. It returns, building on last year's success with an even bigger and better vision!

Organised by the Department of IT, CSE(IOT), CSE(IOTCSBT) of the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, this hackathon is more than a competition—it's an opportunity to unlock your potential & redefine possibilities.

It is a beginner-friendly hackathon that invites developers from all schools & colleges to come and participate in a weekend event. The primary objective of the hackathon is to empower developers by providing them with the opportunity to learn and build web dev projects

At IEM HACKS 2.0 we invite you to flaunt your web dev skills and grab exciting awards worth 20,00 INR.

Eligibility:

School students
Technical degree(Bachelors) pursuing students
Inter-college team members are also allowed.

1. Healthcare:
   Unveil the potential of web development to revolutionize healthcare. Craft solutions that enhance patient care, streamline medical processes or break new ground in medical research.
2. Ed-Tech:
   Rewrite the narrative of education with digital prowess. Develop platforms that empower learners, redefine teaching methodologies, and pave the way for a tech-savvy education ecosystem.
3. Agriculture & Green Tech:
   Bridge the gap between technology and sustainability. Create web applications that optimize farming practices, promote eco-conscious choices, and sow the seeds of a greener tomorrow.
4. Social Issues:
   Harness the power of the web to drive social change. Build tools that amplify voices, inspire action, and provide resources to address pressing social challenges across communities.
5. Open Theme:
   Unshackle your creativity and explore the uncharted. Dive into any realm your imagination takes you—be it a passion project, a breakthrough concept, or a genre-defying idea.

Rules:

Participants need to submit their problem statement and solution before 21st August 2023.
Only the filtered-out teams will be allowed for the hackathon.
Minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 members allowed in a team.
A team can submit only one entry for the contest. Participation in the event is subject to a “per-team” basis meaning you are not allowed to be on more than one team at the event.
In case of a tie at any prize-winning position, the team submitting early gets the position ahead  

Certificates & Prizes:

Prize pool worth 20,000 INR.
Top 2 teams will receive prize money.
Theme toppers will get swags.
